SAMBA, April 30: AtulSambyal of Shishu Niketan HSS Samba and Senish Choudhary of St. Convent SchoolSmailpur bagged boys and girls under-17 chess titles in the inter-schoolcompetitions of district Samba held at Sports Stadium, here today.

Second place in boyssection went to Abhimanyu Manyal, again of Shishu Niketan while Paras Sambyalof Cooperative School remained third.

Similarly, in girls’category, Mansi Satiya of Cooperative HSS Samba finished second and PragatiGupta of St. Convent School Smailpur bagged third place.

The competition officiatedby the technical penal including Subash Sharma, Dheeraj Singh, Aman Sambyal, ArunKumar, Sukrishan Singh and Girdhari Lal.

Around 37 boys and girlsfrom 12 different educational institutions of the district took part in thistwo-day competition in under-14 and under-17 age groups.
